Motorola v60 If you want a practical device, not a customized object loaded with gimmicks, check out the the venerable Motorola v60. Protected by a metal clamshell case, this humble phone was built to survive abuse. It doesn't take photos and has only a small monochrome screen with limited backlighting. Therefore, you will experience the joy of longer battery life. Motorola doesn't make them anymore but you can still buy the v60 on eBay. They are so inexpensive you might as well get a second one to keep as backup, in case you inadvertently destroy the first one. Motorola v60s are approximately $30 from eBay.
