Traceback or Trackback?

June 30, 2004 | In blogging | I started off by installing SharpReader ,an RSS Aggregator for Windows, on the laptop. Then I added BinaryWolf by entering in the URL and clicking the Subscribe button. Experimenting, I right clicked on my new entry and see Link Cosmos (technorati). I clicked on that and see a list of inbound sources. One of those is Paul’s Time Sink with a link back to me. Thanks Paul!

This is a good blog post that describes tracebacks.

O.K. it’s a little ironic that Paul’s Time Sink has a link back to me on a feature that I have yet to implement on BinaryWolf primarily because blogger doesn’t offer it yet. I’ve looked at Haloscan’s solution but didn’t like it. The trackback post is one in a series of posts here at BW defining blogging terminology.

Paul’s Time Sink uses the word traceback instead of trackback. Interchangeable?
