Interesting story in today’s SDUT about “urban maglev” trains. This article caught my eye as I recently had the opportunity to ride on the new (opened July 15) Las Vegas Monorail. The LVM cars are small, fast(50mph), air conditioned with limited seating. They need to add more handhold bars for standing passengers. The stations are located near the strip, but plan on a lot of walking after you disembark. Currently the route runs from the Sahara to the MGM Grand. Eventually the route will run from McCarran airport to downtown. A day pass is for the four mile ride is currently $10.00 which will be raised to $15.00 next month. Save some money by purchasing the 2-ride pass for $5.75. It’s a fun adventure.

Monday, August 2nd, 2004Walking with my daughter in Las Vegas on Friday (July 30), she says Dad you know who we just walked by? So I turn around and say Hey Wil, you looking forward to going to San Diego next month? He says, you mean Mysterious Galaxy Books? I say, yeah. He says, they are great and he appreciates their support. Read Wheaton’s post about his experience in Las Vegas. We saw the Earnest Borg 9 show on Friday.

Can you take a simple list and use different Cascading Style Sheets to create radically different list options? The Listamatic shows the power of CSS when applied to one simple list using samples from Eric Meyer, ProjectSeven, SimpleBits, Jeffrey Zeldman and others.
