Selling Your Images

May 16, 2007 | In photography |

Imagekind is a gallery, print-on-demand, and frame shop on the web.

One community for creating, buying, and selling art, Imagekind introduces a new development in print-on-demand services. Artists of all types including, digital photographers, photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, painters, printmakers and draftsmen, can sell their work online with a free Imagekind online art gallery. Customers can readily find a wide variety of wall art, framed art, digital photography and poster art on our site. Imagekind fine art prints can be ordered with millions of combinations of frames, papers, canvas types, and sizes.

You can markup your artwork as you see fit. Imagekind will automatically give you base costs for your image in each of the available sizes and different media options. From this base cost, you decide what markup will be applied to the artwork and displayed as the final cost to customers. You can choose to mark-up either using percentage terms or dollar terms. This markup amount is what you will earn on any artwork you sell and buyers will pay for any framing and shipping costs. You carry no overhead or inventory by using Imagekind

To sell your images, you upload your JPEG, PNG or TIFF image making sure that sure your image is big enough to make a small print. Your image must be at least 800 pixels on each side (e.g. 800px by 800px) to trigger the smallest print size. Watermarking is available. Imagekind is worth a look for both sellers and buyers.
