Silicon Valley Pirates in Carlsbad

The Pirates of Silicon Valley, Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Apple’s Steve Jobs – will share the stage today in Carlsbad, California, just a few miles up the freeway from the BinaryWolf hacienda in San Diego, California.

The duo are slated to be interviewed as part of The Wall Street Journal’s “D: All Things Digital” conference at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara. WSJ columnist Walt Mossberg and technology reporter Kara Swisher will interview Gates and Jobs in an unscripted session on the history and future of digital technology.

Besides Gates and Jobs, other speakers at the Carlsbad event include Google chief executive Eric Schmidt, Cisco chief executive John Chambers, and YouTube co-founders Steven Chen and Chad Hurley.

“D: All Things Digital,” is sold out despite an entry price approaching $4,000.
