When customers in the United States dial the toll-free tech support number printed on the newly released router box, they are connected to an adult phone sex service. The router was originally released in India, but Linksys didn’t check to see that the India tech support number, 1-800-XXX-XXXX, when dialed in US, redirects customers to an adult phone sex service.
The Linksys phone sex line snafu reminded me of another amusing Linksys phone number story posted earlier this year.
