I live in an older neighborhood that has a web of overhead power, cable and phone lines. You can see how congested it is in the first photo. Contractors are digging trenches a few blocks away to lay fiber and maybe the poles and wires will all come down at some far-off future date.* Meanwhile, I captured this 10-minute lamp exchange this past weekend just outside my front door.
