1957 Plymouth Belvedere in Tulsa Update
July 12, 2008 | In vehicles |Last year we posted about the unearthing of “Miss Belvedere”, the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried over 50 years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A recent article about the rusty ‘57 Plymouth tells of efforts to clean it up to preserve it , but not to restore the car. Ultra One, a company that makes a rust remover that it touts as water-based and environmentally safe, will be doing the work. It’s not clear why the owners of the car are not fully restoring the car. Time, effort and money would be my guess.

Hey BW, thanks for the comment about my ‘56 Pontiac. I followed the unearthing of this ‘57 closely, as my grandparents live in Jenks, a small suburb outside of Tulsa, and they know my love of old cars so I have all the newspaper clippings and followed it on the internet. I can’t believe they aren’t going to restore that thing. Wasn’t a ‘58 Plymouth Belvedere (or was it a fury?) “Christine”? I’m having a hell of a rattle/vibration noise going on in my ‘56 and it is driving me insane!
Love your blog man
